The wait is nearly over for La Boheme head chef and restaurateur Olivier Troalen’s new cookbook, A Taste of Home.
The book, which celebrates the best of French home cooking, will be published in October, following a successful crowdfunding campaign earlier this year.
Over the summer, hundreds of fans, friends and followers pledged their support for A Taste of Home, raising over £30,000 towards its development and launch. The team is massively grateful for all of your support and we would like to say a big thank you to each and every one of you for choosing to join us on this journey.
French home cooking for busy lives
A Taste of Home contains simple meals and dishes that you will find on the dining room table of a typical French household: great food to be shared in company; with family and friends.
After 30 years of cooking, tasting and refining some of the finest French cooking there is, Olivier has selected over 90 dishes that he has developed throughout his life in various parts of France, in London and in the North West of England – his home for the last 25 years.
Each dish is assembled using simple, readily available ingredients to create a tantalising menu of starters, snacks, mains and desserts – including an extensive vegetarian section and some professional ‘cheats’ to make the prep process that little bit quicker.
The book runs to 230 pages, with each recipe accompanied by a short introduction or anecdote explaining why Olivier was inspired to include it and beautifully illustrated with glorious photography.
